Wish You Were Here to Help Us Pack
We have been busy getting all of our medical information, injections, and so forth done to prepare for our exciting mission to the "Great" Australia Sydney North Mission.
Glenn finally received an FBI Clearance last week. We were thrilled. This was his third try and we were getting prepared to ask the Australian Embassy to wave that requirement if the FBI was not able to read his prints.
We thought we would be completely ready to go by now and that we would just be able to enjoy our family while they are here and then take a trip to Arizona and return to be set apart as missionaries.
We leave for the MTC on the 8th of September. The time is going way too fast.
We had a great visit with Betty, Glenn's sister Monday through yesterday. We went to see Hairspray which Dee loved. Betty and Glenn didn't like it as well as Dee did.
Glenn is very dedicated to preparing his farewell talk. It is too long and so he keeps trying to decide what parts to abbreviate or leave out. Dee has her talk prepared but hasn't spent near as much time on it. Our subject is labor and industry. We speak in Church on the 26th of August. After church we are having our out of town family come over for a light lunch.
Some of our friends are having an open house for us the Thursday before we leave. We hope to see many of our friends from other wards there.
